[symbiopathy]

Unquenched by sacrifice,
a skeletal discharge seeps through the spewing lamina of your veins.

Its gumption tucked behind your ears like wings–
        wings of inexpiable glass,
wings that weep their tenderness on your back,
parched revertant fossil wings flourishing ajar new tendons,
Cloyed into a face that we have carved here.
